#115 The World Feels Heavy. This Is How We Heal It.

5000 gallons of fuel were spilled into the harbor in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago. Volunteers from all over the state showed up to help clean it.

Across the U.S., cities are organizing protests in support of immigrant families being targeted by ICE. People are standing on porches, holding signs, handing out water. Mutual aid networks are growing.

I was at my best friend’s wedding last weekend, and during her speech she looked around the room and said:

“The world is imploding, but I look around at this room of people, and I know we’re doing so much good in the world.”

That line stuck with me.

It reminded me that the world isn’t meant to be run by broken systems, built for separation and incentivized to divide us.

It’s meant to be held by communities.

By people who take care of each other.

By businesses that are built to serve.

By creators and founders who believe that progress is communal, not individual.

When we feel powerless, the most radical thing we can do is come together.

It’s what I’ve built my business around. It’s why I’ve chosen to pour my energy into this space.

Because I believe in a future where businesses are more human, and where communities are the driving force behind growth, healing, and change.

If you’re building something that connects people, supports your members, and helps more people thrive – I want to help you keep going.

Here’s what this looks like in action:

  • A business coach who pairs new members with accountability partners before their first group call.

  • A product-based founder who turns her monthly customer Q&A into a community roundtable that highlights peer wins.

  • A podcast host who shares stories from listeners during tough news cycles to remind folks they’re not alone.

  • A doula who adds a private support thread to her digital course so parents can connect long after it ends.

  • A design studio that invites clients into a shared Slack space to co-create, ask questions, and celebrate launches together.

  • A membership founder who cancels a planned workshop to host a check-in circle after a community tragedy.

  • A facilitator who quietly sends a handwritten note to a member who’s been going through a hard time.

What you can do this week:

  1. Show up. For your members, your neighbors, your people.

  2. Use your platform to speak clearly about what you believe.

  3. Build spaces that help people feel less alone.

  4. Rest when you need to – community care includes you.

The world feels heavy. Our way forward is together.

If you’re building a community-driven business that serves – my content is for you. And I’m so glad you’re here 🫶🏼
