#161 Free 3-Day Membership Summit

In the fall of 2021 I was building my first creator business. It was called "Techswitch" and I was co-founding it after my 9-5 with my friend, Danielle. We had both successfully pivoted our careers to tech and wanted to help others do the same. At this time I was binging Creator Science like nobody's business, buying anything Jay Clouse was selling, and drinking all the creator business kool-aid I could.

Meanwhile, at work I was facilitating innovation workshops in fortune 500 company boardrooms, building software that bored me (like an insurance app for Berkshire Hathaway), and hustling to create a mini strategy studio within our firm (I literally called it The Studio).

During this time I joined Jay Clouse's membership, The Lab, when he first launched it. It even had a different name then... and the premise was more focused on Twitter growth (RIP 🪦). Fast forward to May 2022 and I landed my Head of Product role at Bossbabe and everything changed. My focus in The Lab shifted from building Techswitch, to killing it in my new role.

Jay has been one of my mentors, especially in the early days when I was working at bossbabe. I *always* looked to him and what he was building in The Lab as the precedent for how I could experiment with membership growth & quality community experiences.

It actually became a joke amongst the bossbabe team that I would answer every question with how Jay was doing things 😅. Sometimes I feel really cringe when I think about how hard I fan-girled his work... especially now that we are friends. Although... maybe that's how you make friends with your favorite Creators? ...just tread with caution.

My friend Jay (if only 2021 Becky could see me now) is hosting a free 3-day summit this week, and so you bet I'll be there to soak up all his membership takes. We don't always agree 100%, but we have healthy debate (like on this episode of his podcast Creator Science).

Jay built The Lab – about 340 members, nearly $500K/year in recurring revenue – on a single membership. Over three days, he’ll cover why memberships work in 2026, what actually makes people renew, and you walk away with a 30/60/90-day roadmap. It's 3, 90-minute sessions and he's the only one teaching! RSVP for free here and I'll see you there.
