I’ve been behind the scenes as COO of some of the most successful online businesses and I’m an owner in a digital marketing agency where I spent a decade with the CEO building the business.

Having worked side by side with entrepreneurs for 20+ years, I know most issues can be traced back to three fundamental root causes. I call this the Trifecta of scaling your business.

Diagnose Your Business

I’m going to paint 3 scenarios. Which one(s) sound like you?

01 You know you have a great offer/product. You get amazing testimonials for the people that do go through your offer. Trouble is, you aren’t making enough sales. You simply aren’t getting enough people into the product. Or launches are such a push to get the numbers you need, it’s just exhausting.

  • You have a Lead Generation & Conversion issue

02 You are great at building an audience, you know how to market yourself & speak to your targets. You make initial sales, but then you run into trouble. Perhaps you aren’t getting longevity from clients. They don’t return for your other offers. Or, maybe there isn’t anything else for them to buy from you. Your product suite is one and done. Or, lastly, you simply tap out with a certain # of clients because your model has a ceiling.

  • You have a Client Delivery & Product Suite issue

03 You are making good revenue. Sales are rolling in and you’re getting great testimonials. You found product market fit and you have the marketing acumen to get it in front of the right people. But, if you’re being honest, you are overwhelmed behind the scenes, things are hectic AF, you are working way more than you want to & feel bogged down.

  • You have a Team Support & Systems issue

Where To Focus

If you identified as #1, Lead Gen & Conversion, the key here is to stop letting admin and product take your mindshare and focus squarely on finding your ideal dream clients and bringing them in your world. Prioritize client acquisition and sales. Ask yourself:

  1. WHERE is my ideal client?

  2. How do I meet them where they’re at?

  3. How do I demonstrate I’m the one to help them solve their pain points?

  4. How can I gain their trust?

  5. When should I ask for the sale?

If you identified as #2, Client Delivery & Product Suite, you need to dial in your offer and business model. This is about finding your unique ability, designing a transformation you can provide, identifying the format that will work best to serve that transformation, and setting up your business model in a way that matches the lifestyle you want to live. Ask yourself:

  1. Who is my ideal client?

  2. What are they struggling with?

  3. Where do they want to be?

  4. How can I help them get there?

  5. How do I serve this transformation in a format that works for me and my energy?

If you identified as #3, Team Support & Systems, you need to delegate. This can mean either through team or systems (like software automation). It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it does need to be strategic so you are staying in your energy zone and in the growth seat of the business. You need to take a hard look at where you are getting pulled away from revenue-generating activities and what might be getting too much attention behind the scenes that isn’t actually moving the needle.

Whichever one(s) you relate to, I assure you, you are not alone. And, awareness means you’re now in a position to focus and solve.

When you’re winning in all 3 areas, the business will scale with much more ease. You’ll see:

  • More sales

  • More profit

  • Have calm & space behind the scenes
