How We Used The 7-Figure Connected Community Model to Improve NPS By 28 Points
Beyond Connections is an 8-week, cohort-based experience with coaching, community, and curriculum designed to help mid-career professionals and growth-minded entrepreneurs build relationships that move their careers and lives forward.
And when we came on board, there was room to improve engagement, retention, and scalability.
Beyond Connections had great content, but their sequencing and systems needed support.
So we applied the 7-Figure Connected Community Model:
Phase 1: Architect
Foundation comes first. So we started by:
Reviewing survey data from the first two cohorts
Messaging directly with members
Talking with the internal team
The goal was to understand what was working, what wasn’t, and where friction existed.
We used those insights to redesign member journeys, starting with onboarding – improving completion rates and early engagement in the first weeks of the program.
Phase 2: Activate
Next, we implemented consistent feedback loops, like program surveys and workshop polls, so the team could improve the experience in real time – not after the cohort ended.
We also:
Experimented with programming formats
Improved processes for members to host events
Supported the rollout of a new product to match members with each other
This resulted in higher engagement and stronger retention throughout the program.
Phase 3: Amplify
This is how we scale without breaking what works.
Once results, engagement, and foundations were strong, we began:
Designing advanced pathways to support simultaneous cohorts
Exploring additional products
Adding team members and optimizing roles for efficiency and growth
This allowed Beyond Connections to grow without sacrificing culture or experience.
Our Results

Program NPS increased by 25+ points
Engagement and retention improved across cohorts
Our alumni community is extremely engaged at 60% MAU months after taking an 8-week program
The organization gained operational clarity and confidence
And because of these improvements, the company was able to hire a COO, bring on a sales hire, free up the CEO’s time, and get strategic guidance on their sales process and future roles.
